On October 31 and November 1, 2019, Attorney Kirk Strang will provide a legal briefing to Technical College District Board Members and Presidents.  Kirk will discuss Open Meetings and Public Records issues affecting Technical Colleges and the impact of technology on Public Records issues for Technical Colleges.  The conference is hosted by Waukesha County Technical College.

On September 6, 2019, Attorney Kirk Strang will appear at the CESA 10 District Administrator’s Conference.  Kirk will provide a legal update for West Central Wisconsin School District Superintendents at the program.

On August 12, 2019, Attorneys Kirk Strang and Chad Wade will appear at the CESA 11 Legal Summit.  Kirk will be providing an update on School Law and Current School Legal issues and Chad will be providing a Special Education Law update.  The program is sponsored by CESA 11 for School District Administrators, Business Managers, Directors, and Principals.

On July 29, 2019, Attorney Rick Manthe will present at the Master Academy for Civic and Public Affairs in Green Bay on FMLA, discrimination, and FLSA laws. 

On July 25, 2019, Attorney Shana Lewis will present on the topic of Navigating Difficult Personnel Challenges to Ensure a Positive Workplace Culture at WASPA’s Academy for New HR Administrators and Support Staff.

Kirk Strang will present at the 2019 WASDA Summer Legal Seminar on July 24-26, 2019, in Sturgeon Bay.  The conference is the largest legal conference for state school district superintendents of the year.  Kirk will be making his annual presentation on changes and updates in school and education law for Wisconsin School Districts.

On July 16, 2019, Attorney Rick Manthe will be presenting at the Municipal Clerks and Treasurers Institute in Green Bay on various municipal topics.

Kirk Strang will appear at the WASPA Legal Seminar for Experienced Practitioners on July 9-10, 2019, in Sturgeon Bay.  The program is offered by WASPA primarily for Directors of Human Resources for Wisconsin School Districts.

On June 26, 2019, Attorney Shana Lewis will present on the topic of Effective Use of School District Legal Counsel to students enrolled in the Edgewood College Educational Doctorate Program.

On June 17, 2019, Attorney Shana Lewis will present the Legal Update at the Principals’ Academy in Waterloo, Wisconsin.

On June 12, 2019, TEMPO Madison, an invitation only, peer-to-peer organization in greater Madison that connects women leaders with diverse backgrounds and experience to support, advise, learn and create relationships with one another, elected Attorney Shana Lewis to serve as the President of the Board of Directors. 

On May 1, 2019, Attorney Shana Lewis facilitated the Legal Hot Topic: Navigating Cyber Challenges segment at the Association for Wisconsin School Administrator’s New Building Administrators Academy. 

On April 28, 2019, Attorney Jenna Rousseau presented at the Wisconsin Association of School Councils (WASC) State Leadership Conference in Green Bay.

On April 25, 2019, Attorneys Kirk Strang and Shana Lewis presented at the Wisconsin Association of School Personnel Administrators (“WASPA”) Spring Conference.  The program explored the intersection of school law with law enforcement agencies, procedures, and issues, and school districts’ work with law enforcement officials.

On April 23, 2019, Attorney Geoffrey Lacy presented to international students at Lawrence University on immigration options following graduation.

Kirk Strang appeared at the 2019 Wisconsin Association of School District Administrators (“WASDA”) Annual Educational Conference in Madison on April 11, 2019.  Kirk reviewed hot topics and recent developments in school law.  The Conference is for all Wisconsin School District Superintendents. 

Kirk Strang performed with the legendary Superintendencies at the 2019 WASDA Annual Educational Conference in Madison on the night of April 11, 2019 (Kirk’s birthday).  The name of the Superintendencies’ tour for this year will be finalized as soon as band leaders Bryce Bird and Bob Berndt are in the mood. It can safely be said that this performance will be unlike anything that anyone has seen or heard before.  Stay tuned for details.

On April 9, 2019, Attorney Shana Lewis presented the Legal Update at the CESA 4 PAC meeting in West Salem, Wisconsin.

On March 22, 2019, Chad Wade presented a special education legal update at the CESA 11 Regional Service Network meeting in Turtle Lake, Wisconsin.

On March 1, 2019, Attorney Shana Lewis presented on the topic of School District Human Resources to the Law, Media, and Marketing Class offered through the Edgewood College Educational Doctorate Program.

On February 8, 2019, Jenna Rousseau and Chad Wade presented at the Western Wisconsin Education Conference in La Crosse.  The Western Wisconsin Education Conference is an annual event open to teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, school board members, parents, and anyone interested in education. 

On February 7, 2019 Chad Wade presented at the Wisconsin Council of Administrators of Special Services Winter Conference in Appleton Wisconsin.  Attorney Wade presented on Functional Behavior Assessments and best practices for evaluating student behavioral issues.  The WCASS winter conference is held annually with programs focused on cutting edge information and best practices in the field of educating students with disabilities.

On February 6, 2019, Kirk Strang appeared at the Association of Wisconsin School Administrators Middle and High School Principals Conference in Madison. Kirk discussed legal and technology challenges and solutions for high school principals.
